Tropical gay sailing from Martinique

Day 1: The trip starts on Martinique, the island is tropical with a French touch.
Day 2: After foraging we have a pleasant sail to St. Anne, the most southern village on Martinique. The local market of St. Anne with fruits, vegetables, homemade jams and liqueurs is a nice way to get acquaintance with the local Creole people.
Day 3: Half a day of exhilarating Ocean sailing gets us to St. Lucia, the next volcanic island with jungle like vegetation. St. Lucia is an independent island, its proud population give the island a swinging Caribbean atmosphere. On a jungle tour you can see a wide variety of tropical fruits and flowers in the course of a single afternoon.

Day 4: Sailing to the next bay, we come to the village of Soufrierre, here is a coconut oil factory. Here you can take tour, guided by locals, up to the mountain to a bubbling sulfur geyser. Then you return, downhill, through the tropical forest with its lush vegetation and its numerous waterfalls. At the bottom of the mountain there is a warm water spring in which you can bathe.
Day 5: The trip from St. Lucia to St. Vincent, which is the next independent island, is a spectacular sailing trip. On the way we will see dolphins jumping out of the water and we often see whales. If we are lucky, we will catch a nice tuna which we’ll cook that evening. At the end of the day you can climb the volcano.

Day 6: A short trip in the leeward side of the island St. Vincent. This is a good chance to travel over the island with the local bus. You can see the colorful capital city Kingstown with a very lively Creole market. A good place to buy t-shirts. At the end of the day the skipper waits with the yacht in Young Island.
Day 7: The next island is Mustique, a private island and unique in the Grenadines. The worlds most wealthy people have their vacation mansions here. Cocktails in the world famous Cotton club and a ride on the island give you a rich feeling. It is in big contrast with the other islands in the Caribbean.
Day 8: Today we have yet another great sail. We sail into a big horse shoe shape coral reef, an ideal natural anchorage the Toboga Cays. This is an outstanding spot for scuba diving, deep sea diving, and swimming. It’s also a great place for a BBQ on the beach.
Day 9: Sailing between the reefs, we leave the pearl of the Caribbean. Underway we make a cocktail stop at the beach of Palm Island. The harbour of Union Island is protected by a reef which colors the water azure blue. Salsa and reggae are a lifestyle on this island.
Day 10: A strip of sand and a few palm trees, Sandy Island, is the most southern destination of our trip.
Day 11: Close hauled we sail to Mayreau. At the top of this small island you have a breath taking few of the Tobago Cays. The blue color gradations shows the horse shoe reef of the Cays. In the village we have a great meal and afterwards we can go to a local party which always going on.
Day 12: A beautiful sailing day north bound through the Grenadines brings us to Bequia. The island of the old whaling fishers. The turtle nursing home is worth a visit. There is a good dive shop were you can make a (beginners) dive.
Day 13: The dashing passage through the Bequia canal to St. Vincent is short and intense. The bay of Cumberland is green and quiet. At the beach we enjoy a great sunset and a nice BBQ.
Day 14: An early rise for the crossing to St. Lucia. The entrance of the old robbers' den Marigot bay is hidden. In this beautiful cove with mangroves we anchor and enjoy looking back on a long sailing day.
Day 15: The last sailing day to Martinique. Before we enter the harbour of Le Marin we have a last dive into the warm water. The flight back is in the evening.
