Travel info gay sailing Caribbean

It does not matter if you are into sports or would rather lie in the sun all day. While we are sailing, you can help with the sails, the anchoring manoeuvres, and help steer the ship. Others will enjoy making breakfast or lunch in the galley. Grocery shopping in island towns is always a nice outing.

Next to wonderful sailing and all the related avocations there will be plenty of time for other activities. Around the bays there is always a cheerful creole atmosphere. You can dive in the water and explore the colorful underwater life. With local diving centers you can set up a dive at the reefs.

A guided tour with the locals in the jungle or hiking to the top of the volcano are other highlights of this trip. Our skippers know the best spots and local things to see and do.

On some trips we are accompanied by a yacht that sails in flotilla. The GaySail skipper will give them some support and instruction about the route.

When you arrive you will be welcomed by the skipper with a drink and a snack. Then the cabins will be divided. On board there is a fully equipped galley with a cool box, there are toilets and showers. The yachts we use have 4 or 5 cabins for two with either a double bed or two singles, one above the other.

Before we set sail we put money in a common wallet, which is then managed by one of the guests. From this wallet we pay all our common costs like food, beverages, water, fuel, harbour cruising and custom fees. According to established custom, the skipper is exempt from a contribution.
